DIPLOMA IN INSTRUMENTATION CONTROL

It is a branch of engineering associated with control and measurements. It deals with the application of instruments for measurement, control and observation. Instrumentation and Control Engineering is applied in various other fields of science, engineering and technology. Any physical measurement like measuring temperature, current, voltage etc, is part of this field.

The instrumentation part of the branch deals with the principles and functioning of measuring instruments. While Control Engineering deals with devices like valves, relays and circuit breakers, as these have the ability to control the parameters of the measuring instrument. The calibration of the instruments is part of control engineering.

CAREER OPTIONS

If you'd like to work as an instrumentation technician, you may do so in a variety of industries. Instrumentation technicians work in chemical plants, petroleum refineries, canneries, and food processing plants as well as other businesses that control and monitor air and water pollution. These industries require extremely precise measuring and monitoring equipment to regulate flow and pressure rates, keep track of production, manage power use, and ensure safety.
